Death Notification - Retired TFC Jeannine M. Lafiner
We regret to inform you of the death of Retired TFC Jeannine M. Lafiner on Sunday, January 4, 2015. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jeannine’s family and friends at this difficult time. The following obituary information has been reprinted from the Carroll County Times.
Jeannine “Nina” May Lafiner, 56 of Eldersburg, died Sunday, January 4, 2015, at University of Maryland Medical Center Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
Born February 21, 1958 in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Mayo James and Naomi Jeannine (Sleeger) Lafiner. She was the wife of the late Bud Burkhard. Nina was a State Trooper and retired from the Maryland State Police Department. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are children Rose Marick and her husband John of Mt. Airy and Amanda Teller of Columbia; stepmother Marilyn Lafiner of MN; father-in-law and mother-in-law Kenneth and Eileen Cobleigh of NC; brother Jim Lafiner and his wife Mary of Eldersburg; grandchildren Owen, Lily, Logan, and Maggie Marick.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7pm at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10am. Interment private at Ebenezer UMC Cemetery, Taylorsville.
