FPD receives a list of needy families with a wish list for Christmas for their children. FPD employees buy the gifts and then wrap them to be delivered for Christmas. Lead Dispatcher Bonnie Nolan coordinates this yearly event.

Last year FPD partnered with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fairbanks to pair police officers with children in the program for rmentorship or occasional outings. We call it Bigs in Blue Program. This photo was at our Pizza party at FPD in November.

Shop with a Cop. The shopping was done in December at Wal-Mart. The coordinator tries to schedule a monthly event. Other outings have included attending hockey games and going to the indoor "Glow Putt" to play golf with the kids in the program.

This event took place last April at Pike's Waterfront Lodge and was attended by FPD, AST and the Fairbanks APFO.
