Ketchikan Agreement Announcement

The city of Ketchikan and PSEA have reached agreement on a successor contract.  The Ketchikan City Council and KPDEA have both ratified the proposed agreement.  The CBA is for 2006 / 2007 and is retroactive to January 1, 2006.  The agreement calls for a 4 % pay increase in ’06 and a subsequent 4% increase in ‘07.  It also provides for Fit for Duty pay as well as an 8% FTO Differential.

The City’s share of Health Insurance was increased by $65 per month and all members are now eligible for physicals.  The grievance and arbitration section of the contract was improved as well as the Association Leave section.  The City is also now going to purchase and update soft body armor.

Congratulations to our members in Ketchikan and especially to the members of KPD’s Bargaining Team.
