PSEA will be
sponsoring the Mat-Su King Derby again in 2010. We are
currently making preparations for the event and will soon
solicit participation from the membership. We had great
success last year and hope to make an even bigger splash
this year. Terrence Shanigan is heading up the project.
There is much preliminary work to be done as well as work
throughout the Derby.
Primary needs
will include gathering co-sponsors and co-sponsor donations,
identifying and setting up weigh stations, and volunteering
to gather and report Derby submissions. This is a great
opportunity to be involved in a fun project that will
directly benefit our membership and communities. Remember,
no matter your duty station, you can still be of
assistance. Last year we gathered some great prizes from
all over the state – let’s do it again. Details will be
