Mobile Audio Video Recording Policy

The Public Safety Employees Association (PSEA) is pleased to announce that the Department of Public Safety (DPS) and PSEA have come to an agreement regarding Mobile Audio and Video Recording (MAVR) which includes the body worn camera program for Alaska State Troopers.

PSEA engaged in a collaborative process with DPS that resulted in a policy that was fairly negotiated and serves the interests of Alaskans. The members of PSEA look forward to continuing to provide the citizens of Alaska with professional policing and enhanced transparency through the use of body worn cameras.
